Hello Everyone!

Happy Saturday! To me, there’s not much better than a sunny Saturday morning started with a challenging yoga class and yummy breakfast to follow. So, that’s exactly how this one started! Weather you can believe it or not, April is here! Four months into this beautiful year… which means four New In Wellness posts! I loveee creating these posts for your guys cause it allows me to grow my knowledge of wellness right along with you! So, cheers to April and all new in the Wellness World!

1.) Ghee-

Now, I know I might seem a little late to the party here but, I’ve been an avid ghee-fan for a while and I’m here to tell you why you need to start using it ASAP. Healthy fats have been all the rave lately and I’m loving it. They’re the macrobiotic that satiate’s us the longest. Our body processes them slower than others so they help control hunger post-eating. I make a point to add loads of them into every one of my meals and ghee is an incredibly easy way to do it. My personal favorite way to incorporate it is adding it to my infamous butter coffee/ lattes and also using it as a replacement for butter. Perfect on toast, for sautéing/roasting veggies, etc.

2.) Homemade Nut Milk-

I just recently started playing around with making my own nut milk and it’s sooo worth it when I do. Now, I’m not gonna tell you all store brand nut milks are particularly “bad” but, after researching into it a little more, the ingredient list isn’t always pretty… Carrageenan is one of the most common suspects I kept finding. Now, this stuff in moderation shouldn’t cause you too much trouble but, it has been linked to gastrointestinal issues, so if it’s a daily smoothie ingredient, you might want to reconsider. Homemade nut milk is simple, pure and DELICIOUS. There’s something incredible about knowing exactly what goes into your food so whipping up a batch of this stuff at the beginning of the week is a great way to feel confident about what you’re sipping. 3.) Wellness Blogger to check out-

Month to month, I like to mix it up and share new, intriguing things with you guys. One of my favorite things to do is find new bloggers, whether they’re solely health and wellness or cooking or fitness or lifestyle… you name it, I know a blog for it! I was shuffling through my Instagram recently and came across a beautiful account that I was immediately drawn to. When I clicked on The First Mess’s Blog, I fell in love with her fresh, plant-based recipes.
