I hope your week is going well… The weather this week is amazing here in Austin, 75 and sunny! What more could you ask for?? Spring is here and I’m thrilled. The farmers market is beginning to come to life and I have loads of new recipes I want to try with all the fresh, seasonal produce! I’m excited to start sharing more recipes here in the next few weeks, so be sure to stay tuned! Today, I wanted to focus on one of my favorite stores… Trader Joe’s. I first discovered this little gem when I was living in California and I fell in love. Now, while I don’t get the bulk of my weekly groceries here, there are multiple products that have become staples in my pantry. I hope you get the chance to try these to and let me know how you like them!
1.) Sprouted Multi-Grain Bread-
I have to admit, I’m a bit of a bread snob. There’s not much that makes me happier than a fresh, wholesome loaf of bread. Through trying all different varieties, I’ve begun to see how much crazy stuff fills the loaves you typically find on the shelves at the store. Every week, I usually pick up a fresh baked loaf at my local farmers market. I decided to pop into TJ’s after yoga recently to grab a few things and quickly scanned through their bread aisle. My eyes landed on their Sprouted Multi-Grain loaf. I checked the ingredient list and was FLOORED. All good stuff! Filled with nourishing whole grains and seeds, I was shocked and giddy all at once. This bread makes perfect sandwiches, toast, etc. Give it a try!
I was never a huge peanut butter fan but, when almond butter entered my life, I was forever changed. This stuff is dangerous. So, so good. I pop it into smoothies, on apples, in oatmeal, on toast… The options are endless so when I came across these 2 Nut butters, I knew I had to share them with you guys. They’re also a great way to pack in healthy fats really easily. These are both clean and simple. In fact, the only ingredients in both are nuts. Too good to be true! And not to mention, they both taste like absolute heaven!
3.) Everything Bagel Seasoning-
Okay. Hear me out on this one. A couple weeks back, I was on Instagram and it seemed like this seasoning was popping up on every other post I scrolled past. So, I decided to give it a whirl and I was amazed. The flavor is exactly what a classic everything bagel tastes like! Salty, savory, garlic-y… Sprinkle this onto eggs or toast and you instantly have incredible flavor with one seasoning! Easy and sooo good.
4.) Whole Grain Crispbread-
I’m always on the hunt for good, wholesome snacks that I can pack in my backpack or grab before I run off to a workout and carbs are a vital part of that. I was on my way to check out when I glanced down and saw this little package of whole grain goodness. I gave them a try and fell in love. The ingredient list is simple… filled with nutritious grains and seeds, these are the perfect pairing with hummus, salads, etc.
I hope you get a chance to give all these wholesome products a try! If you do, I would love to hear what you think and I’m always open to TJ’s recommendations if you have them! Wishing you all a healthy and happy rest of your week. See you soon!
