These past few weeks have been CRAZY… and it’s only beginning! But, I knew I wanted to take time to sit down here and chat with you guys! With school finally starting to die down, I’m really looking forward to putting more time into the blog and creating lots of exciting new content.
One thing I’m constantly grateful for is my ability to actually love mornings. There’s something absolutely perfect about them… the quiet stillness of a fresh, new day… nothing better! Now, I know mornings are notoriously a struggle for many so, today I want to share with you 3 simple things I do that set me up for the perfect day ahead.
1.) Make Your Bed-
The very first thing I always make sure to accomplish right as I wake is making my bed. It’s like checking something off the to-do list in the first 5 minutes of your day! It’s simple and never fails to make me feel that much more put together and ready for the day. By doing this, you instantly set yourself up for the most productive day possible!
2.) Express Gratitude-
This is something I’ve just recently started doing regularly and WOW. It really transforms how I look at the day ahead. Simply thinking of 3 things that you’re grateful for and acknowledging them, you help your mind shift from the stress of the morning to a state of gratitude.
3.) Treat Yourself-
Last but certainly not least… treat yourself! Something I personally look forward to every night before bed is a warm butter coffee… or a yoga class… or a big, nourishing breakfast. Whatever it is for you, make it happen! By making a point to treat yourself, you start your day on the right note and never put self-care on the back burner.
