This week had been pretty hectic, but I’m enjoying every minute of it! Something I’ve been consistently focusing on lately is truly being present in every moment and living it to the fullest. To say the least… it’s incredibly refreshing!
Since I recently finished reading The Intuitive Eating Book, my outlook on various areas of my life has changed drastically. If you have ever had a strained relationship with food, dieting, exercise or anything regarding properly nourishing yourself (mentally, physically and emotionally), this book is groundbreaking. I finished it in a week and am about to start again. (It’s that good.)
So, one thing that was made clear consistently throughout the book is just how “Revolutionary” it is in this day and age to actually Love yourself, no matter size, weight, what you ate for dinner, how many days you exercised this week, etc. This, along with much more, strongly resonated with me.
Living in a time of constant comparison, being told that we’re not good enough or that we should change ___________ about ourselves, “Self-Love” isn’t something we hear often enough. Not only does the book encourage loving yourself but, it gives detailed action steps about how to get started on this beautiful journey. This is only the beginning for me, but I cannot express just how grateful I am to be on the road to a better relationship with myself.
So today, I challenge you to reflect on YOU. Think of 3 or 4 or 100 things you truly LOVE about yourself. Let’s spread alllll the love and joy and happiness and gratitude toward ourselves and those around us. How amazing does that sound??
