Hello!!

Well, I officially have 2 weeks left of school then SUMMER. Thank goodness. It’s time. Throughout the past few weeks of spring (which is a whole new level of beautiful in NWA), I’ve gathered a few favorite things that I have been using/ wearing on repeat. Today, I’m excited to share my official list of must-haves for this time of year…

Skincare

1.) Neutrogena Hydro-boost Water Gel ($22) & Multi-Vitamin Booster-($22)

Sounds oh-so-fancy, but is really just an incredible lotion and serum. I love skincare. It’s something I know I will thank myself down the line for paying attention to. While LaMer and La Prairie are nice to dream of, the “college girl budget” brings me right back down to earth, aka drugstore products… products that I typically end up loving. I struggle with dry skin, especially on my cheeks, so I’m constantly on the hunt for things that help that. I’ve been using these together for the past month and can confidently say I am seeing an incredible difference with overall redness. I also haven’t had a breakout since, so I consider it a win-win.

2.) ACURE Brightening Facial Scrub- ($10)

I’m typically apprehensive about trying facial scrubs, as they can definitely be tough on red skin, but I had heard SO much good about this specific one. It’s recommended to use 3-4 times a week for a “glowing complexion”… sign me up! After the first few uses, my skin felt a whole new kind of clean. Think post facial clean. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for an affordable, gentle exfoliating scrub to try.

Closet

1.) New Balance 997h– ($89)

If you know me, you know I’m constantly complaining about how uncomfortable 98% of shoes are. I am on a constant search for an equally cute and comfortable sneaker that can be my day to day shoe. While I was visiting my grandparents this weekend, I mentioned my shoe struggle, and by the next day, my grandpa insisted I go check out New Balance. I had some reservations going in but ended up stumbling across this pair and have worn them almost every day since. Super comfortable and easy to throw on with athleisure or jeans and a white T-shirt.

2.) Old Navy One-Pieces– ($20-$45)

Well, it’s almost that time of year. If you’re an Austinite like me, summer= lake days, Barton Springs and 3 months of attempting to survive the 100+ degree temps. I love finding a few basic swimsuits that are moderately priced, flattering and something I’ll get good use out of. I popped in Old Navy yesterday and was shocked to find so many cute one pieces! I love both bikinis and one-pieces, but don’t own a ton of good ones. I picked up the super cute striped suit, but linked a few more that I saw!

Homegoods

1.) Target Hearth & Hand Mug ($5)

I have a slight problem with buying endless amounts of coffee mugs. May sound weird to some, but I can say a cute coffee mug makes my day significantly better. Target is also somewhat of a black hole for me and I can never, ever leave empty handed. I saw this mug and couldn’t resist. And for $5?? Yes please.

2.) Carla Lalli’s Where Cooking Begins – ($20)

While I don’t have this cookbook in my hands yet, I am planning on ordering it ASAP. As an avid Bon Appetit/ Carla Lalli fan, I could not be more excited about it. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this approachable, informative book!
